Kimberlee Erdman Rohr
Kimberlee Erdman Rohr is the current Law Director for the City of Cheviot. She was first elected during a special election in 2017 and will begin her first full term starting in 2020, after winning re-election last November.
Her work ethic and her entire body of work as an attorney speak for itself. She is well qualified and prides herself on providing Cheviot City Council with accurate, valuable legal advice on city matters in a timely fashion.
However, it is not what she was elected to do, but what she volunteers to do, which really qualifies Rohr as an inspirational community leader.
An Unofficial Juvenile Community Court has been brought to the City of Cheviot this year. The sole reason for this is because Rohr volunteered her time to make it possible.
On September 13 of this year, Kimberlee Erdman Rohr was sworn in by Judge Williams to preside over the Unofficial Juvenile Court as the Hearing's Officer in the city she lives in.
The National Council of Juvenile Court and Family Court Judges have designated the Hamilton County Juvenile Court as the nation’s first model court. Public Officials and Judges from across the nation and even across the world, have traveled to Hamilton County to observe this court in action.
Rohr is giving children and their families the opportunity to keep the cases she presides over out of the official court system. The court works with a number of agencies designed to help direct our city’s youth on the right track, and out of prison. Police Chief Stone and Officer Reinshagen will run the docket with Rohr with the hope of bridging a positive relationship between families with children seen before the Unofficial Court and the police department.
Kimberlee Erdman Rohr voluntarily took a position that the families of the City of Cheviot will directly benefit from. As the Hearing's Officer she will be able to provide positive guidance to children from her own community. With the ultimate goal being keeping Cheviot’s kids out of the system and on a better path in their lives. For this, Rohr deserves praise and a simple thank you, for taking on such a selfless endeavor. It is for these reasons and many more, that the Cheviot Gazette has nominated Kimberlee Erdman Rohr, for Cheviot Person of the Year 2019.
